Holding it In

Photos: Omer Yefman

It is a personal, intimate film about a nuclear family that decides to become a surrogate family and help a childless couple have a child.

The film’s protagonists are the surrogate couple, Chen Rotem and Omer Yefman, who turn the camera lens on themselves when they decide upon this course and throughout the process.

Expectation and disappointment, hardships along the way, children growing into the process, and the couple awaiting the child growing within Chen’s womb all converge into an exposed, delicate oeuvre.
