With his title as “Boxing Champion of Israel” and a one-way ticket to New York, Merhav Mohar takes off for the United States. Leaving anxious parents behind, friends, and more than a few fans, he goes to realize his dream, of becoming boxing champion of the world. Except that towards the peak of the track, the unexpected happens, and his big plans get messed up.
The film presents the story of the golden boy of Israeli boxing, from his first steps in New York, alone and confused, counting every dollar so he can have enough to eat, to his accomplishments in boxing matches, and the exclusive world championship match in Atlanta, which unexpectedly turns into a fight for his identity, as a boxer and as a person.
